Depths was ok, but not nearly deep enough for me on bass. Baby Quasar is great if you can get yr hands on one, cuz it's got an awesome frequency knob that really lets you make it wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more bass-friendly than the typical phaser.

My favorite throb throb throbby pedal, fr realz? The Arion Stereo Chorus. Yes, cheap plastic enclosure, yes, lack of true bypass. Yes, "chorus." Ignore all that. It is a beast of a throb machine, and can get so bassy, it actually can get a major volume boost on bass if you're not careful with the tone control. I wub wub WUB it.

Also, the EQD Sea Machine can get super fun for teh crazy pitch wobbly throbby. Another "more than a traditional chorus" chorus.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

This is very true, a lot more sound shaping possibilities than other phasers I've had. Brings teh thrubz in spades.

I have had a Polytope but I would say it's become a bass vi...If that makes any sense.

Dude. I am truly sorry. If it's not a P then you were wasting time.

ModFactor and PitchFactor have some throbbing sounds within for sure.

There is a lot of throb in MoogersFoogers. The RingMod can pulsate like it is alive. The ability to send LFOs from one to another can take them to the next level of throbbing (ex RindMod LFO into Phaser or Filter). Also the controller pedal for Moogers (MP whatever) can do LFO madness sending out 4 LFOs of different shapes and time divisions.

Foxrox aquavibe? Prescription Electronics Throb or Vibe-Unit?

Anyway, I'll be checking in on this thread now and then, cause I'm thinking some sort of throb monster would be better for me than a very nice but basic chorus and dito phaser, which is what's on my board right now and getting a helluva lot of love :idk:

If the Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe TC didn't look so lame, I would've already ordered one. Yes, that's how shallow I am.

Suppose I'm gonna take yer word for it, and assume that Arion Chorus throbs a little better than my current Boss CE-2, which is nice and warm and all, but it lacks a tone control and vibe-ish type depth.

Any idea what a fair price would be if I were to find one of these locally? I'm assuming/hoping that a plastic Arion pedlol should be cheapish, but for all I know what you're saying is common knowledge, and everyone and their mothers is on the hunt for klons, XP300s and Arion chorus pedals...:idk:
