Mostly coming out of the amp. The amp basically does a pretty dirty rhythm sound by itself, which I get cleaner sounds via a volume pedal. If I need more, I generally use a treble booster. However, after tonight's escapades, I'm wondering if investing in a good dirt pedal would be better, letting my amp do the clean and light breakup sounds instead. That way I can control unity gain between cleans and distortion perfectly.
Casavettes, are you suggesting the EQ as a pedal for the effects loop or out front? I considered using one as an inverse boost, where it only knocks down certain frequencies for cleans.
