That does sound like a damn good pedal. I intend to replace my black forest with it. I find it a bit finnicky. Does not play well with others.

I completely refuse to believe this.
Do you have it stacked before something with the "FAC" control (I call it that, I know it isn't, but I still call it that) and the volume over midday?
Thing about BAT pedals is they put out so volume the pedal afterwards usually goes straight into, "I can't cope with this insanity!" mode and things turn to ass real quick.

Yeah don't say something you might regret. me and the pope kill black forest non-lovers, then he rapes them and i eat the remainders. pretty much.

lower the FAC, lower the gain, lower the bass and up the treble. ta-da!

Lower the good stuff and up the bad stuff?!?!?!?! :wha?:

Meh as a booster I could see that working, still that sentence is the anti-thesis to my entire approach hahaha

Yeah mang, we're talking about stacking.
Bossk is having trouble getting his BF sounding nice in the stack.
Those suggestions were for it running before shit.
Most pedals can't deal with the FAC past the second or third setting, and the mofo puts out obscene amounts of bass and volume that also cause to much input clipping afterwards. It all just turns to pus.
My old supa puss would shit if you dimed all the BF settings. It just couldn't handle it.
It's a pity cuz that pedal comes the fuck alive when you crank the volume.

It sounds great on its own when i turn my amp past 6 but aside from practice and shows I rarely get to put it that high. It clips stacked. It clips terribly. And when it doesnt, it negates everything else. If i use my supermoon after it, only the white noise from it gets anywhere. And when i put the supermoon before it, it sounds like ass. Does not play well with others.

Why not put it after your other drive and fuzz pedals then, to shape the tone of those even more differently and give a boost in gain and volume?

Hmmmm...I haven't checked your setup if you've already posted it, sorry dude. What amp are you using? Is it clean or gritty?
For the record I have a mig 50, which stays clean irrelevant of volume, and I've never had a problem with clipping or white noise.
As Tristan said, stacking later and using the fac as a fattener is also an option.

I run three bat pedals together and "the good stuff" is turned down on all of them. Marks pedals are so shapeable that individually they can do more than a lot of other pedals, to get the added flavor and stay in that sweet spot, you knida need to turn things down. It's counter intuitive, and when I started using more than one pedal for dirt I would set each pedal where I thought it sounded best on it's own, but after time and messing around I have found its much better sounding to treat them as one giant pedal, and to set them to compliment each other.

This is truth. Usually the best sounding distortion and fuzz are those with many gain stages... you don't want to square wave at the input, because where can you go from there???
