I played one at Fast Eddy's a while back too actually. Probably the same one. It was pretty affordable as I recall. Didn't blow me away though. I grabbed one of these from him for $150 instead:

Pretty good bang for the buck. Lotta diamonds in the rough at his place.

Nice, how close does that pickup sound to a real P-90?

Hmmm. Hard to say. I've never A/B'ed it with any of my more legit P-90 equipped guitars. It sounded pretty legit to me the last time I played it though. Surprisingly good even.

This has been on Kijiji for a little bit now. The guy's asking $800 obo, which seems a bit much (esp. seeing as I don't have a job right now [but I think I'm getting one soon]). Worth going for/what should I offer?
I have a SG-200 body [two pickup version] they are maple and the same thickness as a fender :idk: and actually I saw this the other day.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gibson-SG-200-1 ... 338c4ca8f5

That's a little much considering the condition it's in. I don't think I'd even buy it if it were $50.

:idk: neither would I actually… I was given the body I have [it was found in a attic or something], no neck fits it… they have a really odd joint and are really skinny so even if you used a LP neck and modded the neck joint the neck would be to wide to use… and fuck if I'm going to go through the trouble of making a fucking neck for it... at this point I'm thinking about saying fuck it and sticking a univox bass neck on it

That sounds like it might work, Mudfuzz. Dunno. There may be some neck dive involved though.

You should check places like Subway Guitars. They might actually have an SG-200 neck lying around.

 there will be no neck dive  things weigh more then LPs
Subway… they might have one… but only Fat Dog will know where the thing is and and if he isn't there the guys working there will only say.. dude… we don't know how to sell the thing to you… even if we could find it, until Fat Dog gets back

they could differ… I'm going by a the one I have which as a body it weighs more then a lot of bass bodies, which is one [of many] reason they did not take off… yeah guys likes make a budget guitar that is really heavy so kids and small people wont like it :picard:
