I'm having trouble figuring out how to get it all plugged in and on my pedalboard. I make my own cables and I use those pancake plugs, but with everything top-mounted, I can't fit the plugs and the power plug all on top of the pedal.

Just plugged the Cosmi and Elements in for a half hour blast
Holy shit these are great pedals. The elements is truly the best sounding and featured "distortion" pedal I have ever tried.

I've heard of this before, pancakers not fitting.. I've also heard of a kind of pancakers that do fit though.. I'm not sure which brand fits, I'm sorry. I'm hoping Forrest will chime in, Kev knows his pancakers and went through this.

Aw shucks, that's such a nice compliment. I really appreciate it, thanks Ian! I'm loving your work too buddy, the DoppelGanger is a fantastic pedal and killer build.. top notch work!

Ryan wrote:Right on, if you're gonna use it exclusively in low gain mode then the mix is in phase and you'll be all set.. and you're right, in low gain mode even without the ground fix you might not hear any hum at all. It's weird, the ground fix makes no difference to hum for me in high gain mode either.. I'm in a fairly new house with very clean electrical and I guess it's enough of a difference to not really show off how bad that hum can be.. so it might be for you either! That's my excuse for not noticing that ground situation for the first ~150 pedals.. I didn't have the hum to begin with.
Looking forward to seeing/hearing your new setup!
Hey Ryers, I didn't know about there being a ground issue, better safe than sorry as I think mine is one of the first 150 how would you best suggest I ground it? Is there a nice point to tap off?

You'll see inside if it's got the ground tape, it's really obvious and right by the stomp switch. If it doesn't, the easiest place to get ground is on the in/out jacks... the tab closest to the box is ground so you can solder onto there.. just be careful you don't solder the jack closed! *smile* I bet yours is grounded though...

Box says #163

i'll assume it's done, I think U.K power is a bit more up to date and standardised than places ground could be an issue anyway.

Well frig, now that I've said that it's probably not grounded! You getting much hum? It's pretty quiet in high gain mode, with humbuckers, but there's still some natural hum... maybe you're hearing unnatural hum and you should ground it! High gain pedal without a grounded enclosure, wtf was I thinking. *smacks forehead forever*

Almost forgot the pawn
For the record, the Elements is a blem. There is a tiny chip on the bottom left top corner. BOTHERED! It sounds a looks tremendous.

The Elements finish came to mind whilst watching Star Wars over the festive period, notably this scene from Endor, in ROTJ

I hadn't experienced any abnormal hum that I wouldn't expect from high gain but you're right, it wasn't grounded so i'll do it just to be on the safe side!
So is my one out of phase as well? Doesn't really matter as I have no plans to use it in a set up where that would be an issue, just wondering.

Love it, so cool looking! Can you guys believe I've known Tanya 9 years and in that time haven't been able to convince her to try the original trilogy.
Do you guys ever watch fan-edits of the movies? There's some really cool ones out there.. some are funny, some are meant to correct Lucas's mistakes.. there's a neat culture of fans remaking lots of movies with really high standards, cool stuff. Especially with the new trilogy... for example, there's a Phantom Menace fan-edit that removes Jar-Jar and midi-chlorians... brilliant.
Pete, I need to see the pcb for the high gain phase.. I can't remember if I sorted that out after round 100 or 200 or 300... nobody really noticed that change, I mostly did it for good house-keeping practices.
