Ha that first bit...

I am the son and the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and the heir
Of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth, how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does

Not that you should do this unless you are pretty sure you are ready to buy, but you will have a chance to back out when you get the one week notice from Curt/Red Panda. If unforeseen circumstances prevent you from buying or whatever.

Wow, I got in at just the right time, two weeks wasn't a bad wait.

The demos from the website are pretty cool but it was the justnick demo that really sold me. Artsy video makes it a little tough to see his settings.

jrmy wrote:No settings per se (I never write stuff down - it's either set-it-and-tape-the-knobs-down-for-all-time or improv settings every song with me). But definitely check out the vids and documentation. Some if those knobs can definitely get really sensitive in certain settings, so I'd definitely take it slow as you're experimenting - inch them along a wee bit at a time.

And heck, if you find anything you love and you do write stuff down, definitely share it here!

Dark Barn wrote:The particle is overwhelming, I love it but just finding a sound I like in some modes takes a lot of twiddling, switch modes and it's back to twiddle town.

Yep, agree with both comments.

I wrote a bunch of stuff down and now I can find it. I generally can't remember anything so I have to. Figures I write it down to remember some settings, and then I forget where I put it. There is soooo much stuff with it... Just make some time to sit down an turn some knobs. And if you're like me, write it down, just remember where you put it.

urg. naw, i love the bugger to PIECES, but we're not set up to have to breathing room to play around with knob twiddly intensive pedz right now.

i actually use the Particle a lot to come up with ideas then twiddle with the Timeline and Organizer to get as close as i can but with a save spot to go back to.

Particle is a BEAST.

Yeah, I wish he'd done a screen-within-a-screen to show his settings. He's started doing that with some demos, but alas, not that one. Or maybe he just faces the pedal to the camera now. Either way, alas...

Put myself on the waitlist because I realised I have enough money and I'm having a shitty day and want something to look forward to. This should be awesome!

Where are all the new Particle owners from the Prymaxe stock, not here because they're busy twiddling their knobs? I'm getting better at finding really cool sounds in it but it is a challenge. A good challenge like a really hot, slightly crazy redhead. :hobbes:
