They will be missed. My dad used to work for Mordam, and when they got bought out by Lumberjack, the only thing he was stoked for was hydrahead. Which, I doubt the inevitable fuck-up that happened with that distro didn't help HH at all.
Blood Brothers rules.

Although that new old man gloom was a hell of a note to go out on. I love old man gloom.

Oxbow's still kicking. Jesu is still kicking. Pelican is still kicking (I think?)
Never really cared for Blood Brothers or The Locust or Daughters, though. This is my jam right here:

Eugene did a spoken word set a few weeks before I graduated in May. It was exciting and terrifying all at the same time.

Yeah dude, I've seen Eugene on both his book tours (Fight & Long Slow Screw).
An Evil Heat is probably my favorite HH release, if I had to pick.
Anyone else wanna chime in on that?

When this came out it was like HH dropped a nuke on the world. Noone had any idea what just happened. I remember seeing them on their first tour ever with blood brothers and plot to blow up the eiffel tower. Noone paid any attention. Everyone said they sucked. It was literally me standing at the foot of the stage while BB fucked everything up screaming my lungs out while everyone was in the other room trying to figure out who looked best in girl jeans. They literally played a set to me. It was like when i watched FLOOR get booed off the stage and pelted with bottles and shit. People just had no idea.

My old roommate's girlfriend picked him up a promo copy of Head For The Shallows like... last year? She's cool shit. Those two Big Biz records are massive, for sure.
And I actually still like them, even though they're a three piece.
