lately i've been running a Velcroar at the end of my chain...it's great for Neil Young<--->Tone Bender sounds on its own, but when everything including the reverb goes through it the result is a massive, crunched Rust Never Sleeps erm, roar. if you're looking for that enormous post-Rust wall of sound, reverb->OD/fuzz is the way there. it totally fucks with the dynamics when you run a delay into it, too.

Rusty Box
I actually use it as a dirty preamp into a poweramp, and after today's display of fuzz into rusty, I wish I had a good mic to record the awesomeness.

Think I'll go play some more now. I've reminded myself of how much fun it was

edit: TWO FUCKING HOURS? FUCK! no wonder I got blisters O_o but that was sooooooooooo fun <3

The dwarfcraft internet is a really awesome under apriciated overdrive. And yes, I am the worst speller in the universe.

Not really available yet, but the SS/BS Mountain Range was great for this.

I keep my amp a little dirty and I don't use the effects loop. So that's kinda the same thing.

Mountainking Electronics Behemoth II
Sounds great at the end of the chain.
I think Jero uses it like this, if I'm not mistaken.

I just end up getting too much noise when I add an OD or boost at the end :( And buffered pedals at the end are even worse. Might have something to do with my cables and ~14-odd pedals in the chain, though.

I would not disagree with any of the above, but I use ma Demo Tape Fuzz with the gain most of the way down for this type of thing. I have a little bit of hair dialed in on my amp and use the Tape to open it up some more. It's the sound I love the most, trebly, brittle, cutting. Totally love that thing.

The behemoth intrigues me....

The only thing I'm running with a buffer will come after the overdrive so I don't think it'll get extra noisy running the overdrive the way I plan to.

I think I've kinda finalized my next setup, in my mind at least. I'm going to have one pedalboard and run my guitar, vocals and synth through it at the same time. Run the guitar WolfComputer>DMMTT>yet to be settled overdrive (so far RAH and Behemoth are the front-runners)>Mixer. Run the vocals muzafd-900>mixer. Run the synth melx2>mixer. Then run the mixer into my vox lil' looper. I'll have to set the amp to be pretty clean for this setup so I might switch back to using the twin.

I've had good luck running both Monarch and Black Forest late in the chain.

Memo to myself: Check Out Tape fuzz, Black Forest, fuck Overdrive as Last Pedal in the chain at Referatsleiter.

I love what the Behemoth does to fuzz, great for end of chain stacking. By itself I don't use too much of the waveform control, but after a fuzz it works so incredibly well, definitely more than the sum of the parts.
