+1
Killed the delay hunt for me, and fucking love delay.
love
delay.
love
Yeah, I hear you. Had a 616 for a while and a Carbon Copy before that. Neither worked that well for my setup, though I know the 616 gets a lot of love with some bassists.
By the way, LOVE the Bit Commander!!! It's so fucking sick and stacks so well with other effects. Runnin' that through my Xerograph Deluxe and Psilocybe phaser is...... all at once.
Disaster Transport Jr. for a darker, fuller sound. Muza FD900 for the bright, super-digital cutting sound. And reverb. It's like a Dispatch Master except it sounds harsh and abnormal. That's not really a bad thing though.

I use EHX SMMwH as my main delay + L6 Echo Park at times. I have a cheap Artec analog delay which is fairly good for the price and I like the ambience sound I can create with it and some light od/fuzz when playing some high scale stuff but I don't have it on my board now. I also own a L6 M13 but I haven't used it lately.
It'd be nice to give some examples especially of the EHX 'cause it works so nicely with bass but don't really have any good new recordings of bass+delay stuff right now but these two old demo tracks have tons on delay+reverb from M13 on bass: http://ritualsmoker.bandcamp.com/track/one-of-us http://ritualsmoker.bandcamp.com/track/floods (this is really just improvising and i'm looping the first bass riff somewhere in the middle too, so the whammy stuff is also a bass)
So yeah, I used to use a lot of delay+verb but I like things a bit more dryer currently – I just use a lot of fuzz. Delays come in on the drone/noise parts plus a few carefully selected songs/parts.
