naw, it's gotta be the pickups

the thing you've gotta watch out for with Dynasonics is that they require a DEEP pickup cavity; they're typically seen on archtop hollowbodies. they have a huge, spring-loaded adjustment system for the magnetized polepieces and are so deep that they'd probably stick out the back of an SG.

Ric? JM? ASAT? What?
And yes this will be a in a V...
The Janglin' V's would be a great name for a group!! Dano lipsticks can sound very jangly and are less expensive and easier to work w/ than Rickie pickups.

Update 'n stuff.... Elwood

would not take no for a answer

so I am trying his idea

also I haz a lipstick so thought atm will be a combo there of... the neck I got for this body is black [it is a V neck so this one will not look strange...] and the body is blue so the project name is Blank'n'Blue Jangle-V
I'll move the pups around to see what sound good and if they will work before deciding on if it needs a pg or something...

Zombie thread is brains!
No I did not drop this project
Trids a few pickups but the these old godins do what I want

I really like the sound of them.. I wish I knew what they were… anyway...
weird old godin pickups
old MIJ neck
super cheap plywood body
green plexiglass under painted with chrome paint
a stereo knob cuz they are cooler then guitar knobs
strung with flats

Awesome. Can you still get a lot of jangle with flats? Any way you can make clips of what that sounds like?
