I want some of that poutine stuff.. And a hollow earth, and a blunderbuss, and a randy's revenge, and a super delay, and a wrong side of uranus, and a.. You get the picture.

I'm a pretty big fan of Broken Social Scene and probably a few other Canadian bands that I didn't know are Canadian. I'm also a big fan of weed. Isn't weed legal there?

Sheez. Maybe I should just move to Canada, eh?

You never had poutine before? Some consider it a way of life...

That's cool you like BSS too, we've made a few pedals for Andrew.. Frazz, Cleanness, mini-RRR.. he's an awesome guy!

Weed isn't legal in Canada although it's considered decriminalized in a few provinces and there's been some really ambiguous court decisions in the last 5 years making weed kind of a grey area. Generally, in BC and Alberta at least, nobody really gets in trouble for being caught with weed, it just gets confiscated. (And then you make arrangements with the cop to enjoy it after his shift. (kidding!))

No I've never had it. I've only seen pictures of it on google haha.

Oh man. How awesome is that? Do you know if he used them in any recordings?

That's basically how it is here in California. You can get it legally if you have a medical lisence (as I'm sure you know) and I believe the maximum punishment for posession of up to an ounce is a $100 fine. I never have that much weed anyways and the times I have been caught by the cops I was just really nice to them and they let me go haha.

He's never said that he's used them on recording, and this has all gone down in the last year so they might have had their last album finished already. Cool band though and cool guy!

Ahh. You must be pretty proud anyways.

Well on the subject of the Cosmichorus.. Today I finally tried running it into my ac30 (don't know what took me so long) and I'm so impressed.. I've figured it out a lot more and I've got this super awesome vibrato setting right now. It sounds pretty lofi in a good way. I really like how it seems to have kindof a mix of tremolo and pitch bending vibrato at the same time. It makes for a pretty interesting sound.

Anyways, by itself it sounds awesome. Running into my El Capistan it's like the most lush, dreamy sound ever. Oohh man it's nice. It's making me really happy right now. It kindof makes me play stuff that will put you to sleep but it will probably give you a wet dream while it's at it.

It's really got a lot of character. I've never heard a vibrato quite like it. I LOVE IT!

here's that setting. It's pretty subtle but very nice. The El Cap is on fixed head mode c. If you have both you should try it. I'm melting!

Very nice, ociffer, I like your style! I love the vibrato setting too, I like it subtle like you have it and I like it really weird and exaggerated too, turn that clock knob way up and put the toggle on the right and get weird with it!

Really great to hear you're enjoying it, thank you again. Geez that's a colourful pedal hey!

Awh yeah I've been getting weird too. This thing gets CRAZY! With the switch to the right and the clock knob up it is by far the deepest modulation I've ever heard. And the waveform is cool when it's like that too. It's not really a plain up and down wave there's like a little squiggle in it haha. Seems like that to me anyways.

I like how you put the switches for the depth and rate. It gives you a super ridiculous range but you can still dial it in easily. I hate how on some pedals you turn the knob just a little bit and it makes a huge change.

And yeah it's super colorful! The sparkley-ness is awesome haha

I'm half with you on those switches... the new version will still have the 3 position switch for the clock/depth since that just works the best and you can't get the same sounds by just using one cap and more resistance, you need the 3 different caps. It doesn't have the rate switch though, the whole range of rate is available on one knob. That's been a hot topic over the years with the Tremolessence and I personally think it's best to just have one rate knob that does it all. Not everybody likes that, not everybody likes the other way, *broadway voice* so I'm doing it my way!

I really like the switches how they are so I guess it's good I already have one haha. I'm sure whatever you do will work out well though. The rate knob does have a pretty gradual sweep as it is.

Cloudscapes - can I move in right between you guys?

I think I realized what it is that I like about the Cosmichorus' vibrato so much. It's how it rolls off some of the high end. It sounds a lot like when I leave a loop running for a while on my El Cap. I pretty much live for that sound so that was kindof a nice unexpected surprise.

I like it so much... and with some type of germanium fuzz with the bias knob turn to the left, it sound like an old lo-fi organ.

I'm loving it with my Torns Peaker with the texture knob all the way down. The Cosmichorus tames the treble nicely and adds the most awesome lofi flavor.

I totally know what you mean about the old lofi organ sounds. Sounds soo good. I can't wait to record with it!
