His guitar sound is very interesting?
I wonder what he is using for his low gain octave down od/fuzz (maybe a pog with some OD)?

I'm pretty sure his guitar is an original Hofner Galaxie. The new ones use mini humbuckers, I'm pretty sure the old ones had mini humbuckers under a different cover, but I'm not 100% on that.

As for BOSS DD-# stuttering, these guys use a similar thing, but I can't quite figure it out either.

the distorted octaves all come form the pog. the thing puts out a lot of output and if you just crank the sliders on the pog you get that slight/broken kinda od/fuzz sound

Yeah I think his setup is pretty simple - two dd's inc at least one dd-3 and two pog 1's into at least 2 amps!
