His guitar sound is very interesting?
I wonder what he is using for his low gain octave down od/fuzz (maybe a pog with some OD)?
Nice guitar... what kind of pickup is this?

I'm pretty sure his guitar is an original Hofner Galaxie. The new ones use mini humbuckers, I'm pretty sure the old ones had mini humbuckers under a different cover, but I'm not 100% on that.
As for BOSS DD-# stuttering, these guys use a similar thing, but I can't quite figure it out either.

the distorted octaves all come form the pog. the thing puts out a lot of output and if you just crank the sliders on the pog you get that slight/broken kinda od/fuzz sound

Yeah I think his setup is pretty simple - two dd's inc at least one dd-3 and two pog 1's into at least 2 amps!
