Definitely agree it will take a lot more amp to get those tones, esp in a band situation, no pedal can do it alone.
i know my amps limitations and it doesn't reach sludge status
and i don't really need it to for a band setting, because i'm not in a band at the moment. but i love that sludgy sound and it's tough to recreate with my gear right now. if i find a band situation i'll end up with a peavey head. they go for next to nothing all the time, it's just something i don't need all the time right now

You want lots of sustain from your guitar and your fuzz. That's why so many of these people play alu necks, it just sustains a lot. And then any Muff variant will probably get you into the ballpark. If you got some money to spend, definitely get a mountainking megalith. That thing is so heavy you can not use it upstairs. I had one and was sludge king through a 12W amp. Decided to sell it, because I don't play such stuff that much and I've been regretting it ever since. Now I use a Mountainking Ruckus into a TAFM. When I crank my amp the results are pretty heavy as well but not like the Megalith.

I had a TheSyle Singularity that could do bone-crushing sludge along with all kinds of other sounds. Pumpkin Pieces has it now. Way too many knobs and switches, some without clear apparent function.

Given that I love these bands, I've pretty much found my own dream sludgy tone going OCD > Eau Claire Lightning* > Eau Claire Thunder > Pharaoh > rest of my chain. Mainly, though, you're probably want to look up Muff variants for starters.

I also found this funny
I play a Little 'Bitch' Muff and I totally agree, in comparission to the Big Muff, it lacks power, it's no contest. But I have had zero issues it tone wise, I'm pretty sparing with it, I don't heavy up often but when I do I think it does justice. As part of the Big Muff family, it's one of the kids, but ultimately as a fuzz, I think it serves it's purpose nicely.
I personally despise Little Big Muffs, they just don’t deliver the power that I’ve come to expect from real Big Muffs. I love fuzz too much to deal with that defanged cobra of a pedal.
