so to do something point to point i could just take a piece of wood with nails in a grid pattern and solder shit that way?

and just make the radioshack order yours stuff or use teh internet.

I have them because I use them on double-sided perf boards, where they jumper has to go over the power, so the body helps avoid shorting. They're something like a cent a piece, so it's not like it's a real expense.

I just use a solid wire jumper on the bottom of the board now, though. It's easier to do it on top if you only have one, but I changed the layout so it has 3 now... so yeah.

cloth wires=vintage mojo
shielded wires result in less radio interference.
