Thankyou! I really appreciate it. You're the guy that made that schematic aren't you?
I'm gonna make an order on smallbear right now.
Thanks!

Re: First build. Looking for some help
Geez I feel so retarded I have no idea what I'm looking for still. I typed those resistors into the search and it didn't find anything and I looked in carbon film resistors and they didn't have anything with those names. I don't know how to find the capacitors either there are like 5 different categories and I don't know what the difference is.
I found a transistor called a BS170 FET but not MOSFET. I don't know if there's a difference.
I'm really confused right now. Sorry I'm a complete idiot when it comes to electronics.

Re: First build. Looking for some help
I wouldn't sweat it too much, Smallbear can be a little tricky to navigate at first and BTW if you keep calling yourself retarded you might start to actually believe it's true and that's not good.
Check out: http://www.capsnsuch.com/index.php?route=common/home
It's culturejam's site and he has everything you need. He is also a member here at ILF and I don't want to speak for him but, I'm pretty sure if you had problems finding what you needed at his site you could send him a PM http://www.ilovefuzz.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3798 and he would help you out.
If you want an inexpensive PCB for the SHO check out Madbean's site http://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/index.html it's #5 and called the Slambox. He has instructions for it and a forum if you run into problems.
I hope this helps.
Edit: capsnsuch doesn't have the 5k reverse taper pot. You could probably get away with a more common pot but if you want the 5k reverse taper Smallbear has them http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=116

I PMd culturejam so I'll buy whatever I can from him and if I need anything else I'll hit up smallbear. I'll probably buy the enclosures and pots from smallbear because I need a couple Taiwanese B bottom plates also.

It's just a simple daisy chain, output wire > output 1 tip > output 2 tip

I'm sure CJ will hook you up with most, if not all of that
