there is heavy use of (what I am pretty sure is) Univox Superfuzz all over it.

Black Sabbath guitar sounds on Paranoid, Master of Reality, 4, and Sabotage are great. Chris Squires bass solos on old Yes albums sport a nice Maestro and Brass master fuzz on bass, and the Mountain live bass sounds of Felix Pappalardi make me come a little. Godflesh Selfless and Ministry Filthpig have made especially great use of fuzzy, smearing, stinking dirt boxes on bass. Ufomammut albums in general have great, fat, heavy fuzzes on seemingly every instrument. Sometimes including the drums I also really liked a lot of the guitars on Wolfmothers eponymous album, too.
