I've tried them from ny once when someone had them flown in... They were good but I didn't think any better than what you could get in the sfba

I don't doubt good bagels can be found in many places.
"Flown in" is always gonna taste bad.
Bagels (like most breads) are one type of food that needs to be fresh. Only time a bagel needs to be toasted is if it's stale.

Been super busy lately (life, new house decisions, work..) i’m not checking ILF as much as I would like to, so sorry if I flood the board with posts whenever I get the chance to log in.
On the upside I’m spending all of the spare (lunch)time playing and trying new settings on my current setup. This may sound regular for a lot of you, but it’s been a minute since I dedicated proper time to concentrate and write down interesting combinations with the aim of using those for specific riffs/phrases and not just noodling around and improvising. It’s really rewarding and it made me realize a couple of things about GASing constantly about new stuff. I don’t mean I’m going Zen (actually i'm waiting for a pedal incoming) but It helped me looking at things from a different perspective.
My gaydar is terrible but my former-user-of-methdar is on point. The woman who checked me into the dentist had serious former-tweaker-now-into-Jesus vibes and when we were talking about payment she was upselling me on some trays to keep you from getting gum disease blah blah blah and told me she had been using them for a year and they'd one wonders for her bad teeth from some 'problems she used to have.'
