You'd think they would. I mean with today's technology you could cram a ton of memory in there, or make it so it can use SD cards and stuff. Plus, the momentary switches. Hell, they could release a DL4 without all the other delays and I think A TON of people would be so so happy

Agreed on both counts.
They're all equally talented guys, anyway. I'd be interested to see how different their music would all sound if it weren't for the DL4, it's had such a huge impact for just one pedal.
I think Line 6 kinda failed on the JM4 looper, even if it works as well as the DL4 it's more expensive and has all those built in amp models and rhythms that nobody (here, at least) would be interested in.

Holy Schnikes wrote:I was more impressed with Nick's fancy footwork, incorporating all those Boss effects and weird pitch bends into the piece. Def made some interesting noise, seems like it'd be a bitch to replicate live.
Yeah seriously, his ankles fly with the quickness.
Also I'm pretty sure one of those pitch-bendy boss pedals is a broken BF-2. Nick said in an interview somewhere that he had been using it for so long and then one day it fixed itself and he was all like "DAMN IT"
EDIT: ^ he used to have something like that, but the video below explain more.

Agreed. Pure fail. Just take the DL4 looper section, make it into a dedicated pedal with memory. All good.

Can you do that with the M5?

M5 only has two stomps I'm thinking so you're losing functionality somewhere...

Nope. No looper on the M5.
