yes! That was everything I had hoped it would be. Juan posted he had 2 hours of footage with him and there is more to come

I love Battles, but I feel like they do something completely different using similar technology

Some cool sounds in there but those dudes were acting like using the DL4 looper in interesting ways is a recent breakthrough. I thought Juan was gonna blow a gasket for a second there. Minus The Bear has been at that forever now, like over a decade, sampling samples utilizing half or double time and reverse and making some truly unique music as a result.

I was more impressed with Nick's fancy footwork, incorporating all those Boss effects and weird pitch bends into the piece. Def made some interesting noise, seems like it'd be a bitch to replicate live.

Oh yeah I can't even imagine trying to pull that shit off live all the time. But I guess that makes it a really fun challenge, almost like a video game!

I think the fact that he's pulling it off with 1 dl4, as opposed to Knudson's 3-4 DL4s is what's really impressive(of course, Dave uses one or 2 of those DL4s for delays and not looping but whatev). And +1 for the fancy footwork.

I like Reinhart's playing more than Knudson's so it's hard for to to say MTB is doing something cooler.

Yeah, I'm not really claiming either band is cooler than the other. Just that the DL4's looping capabilities have been well documented for quite some time. That's why it's the best looper ever imo, perfect functionality. The Timeline is the only thing that bested it and that's simply because Strymon copied and expanded on the DL4.

Def interesting to see different people's approach to that pedal.

I've bought and sold 3 over the years and I still occasionally want another. That's like the pedal GAS that just won't die!

I'm really surprised Line 6 didn't expand on it and release the perfect dedicated looper with memory by now... :idk:
