Man, I love APTBS. Also, my boards are starting to look like that. I'm fairly certain I have the filthiest Dr. Scientist pedal in the world.

Lets break it down!!
The taller stack (I'm assuming Olivers) has an old tube amp on top of it that looks like it was converted from some sort of old Theater system, so probably pretty hifi sounding. Below that is what is labeled "Stereo Sound Amplification System" which looks like it's got 6 different outputs (3 per side) as well as possible inputs for control pedals to turn off certain channels, with master volumes for each channel. Below that is the Wave Transformer, which looks like it may be some sort of preamp. Maybe the "Stereo Sound Amplification System" is the power amp??
The bass head looks like it's got two channels that are daisy'd together to probably get a nice fuzz sound, along with reverb!!

Thanks skully, shit looks insane! I took one look at those rigs and was like "Whaaaaaa.....?!?"
When I saw APTBS last year, the boards looked pretty similar but Oliver was running a pair of Twin Reverbs, nice and simple. Show was beyond LOUD, just sonic punishment, had to buy earplugs. Excited to hear this new backline in action for sure. Aesthetics looks badass just like everything DBA puts out. Also kinda looks like a cross between a modular synth and a guitar setup, visually speaking, very striking stack o' gear there.

awesome. I saw them this past Novemeber and they had that backline, sounded real good. The most visceral show I've ever attended, due to the sheer volume and the stimulation from the projectors. I had earplugs and kept them in during the opening bands, but as soon as they came on I took them out. So worth it.

Yar. I think if I ever come across a second one for cheap, I'd get it. There a lot of sounds to be had in those. I even get ring-mod-ish tones from mine.....
I've had two and liked 'em both, but I opted for a Vox DelayLab recently and am hoping to get some fun sounds out of that. Same kinda looping on it, but has like 30 or 40 memory banks and more sounds. Snagged it for $168 so probably worth it.
We'll see... still in the mail.

When I see that wave transformer I just think about why a band that looses so much fidelity at the volumes they play would need a highly versatile, patchable preamp.

I've heard many good things about that one. If the looping is like a DL4 plus memory banks, I'd imagine it's gotta be pretty awesome.

Man, Dark Tower series is the BOMB! I started reading 'em years ago when only four books existed. Then Stephen King got hit by that van and I figured they'd never be completed. He busted those last few out though, ending is pretty amazing! Wolves Of The Calla was the least impressive of the bunch, shit just takes off after that.

I can't stop staring at these pics. I just can't look away. The DBA aesthetics are the bees knees.
