Is that a recent pic? when I saw him play here a few weeks ago I SWEAR I heard a rainbow machine. Also Parks was playing a half drum kit half keyboard setup.

Agreed. Only better looper IMO is that on the Timeline, basically functions like a decked out DL4. Perfection.

Yeah that is an old pic, watermark says 2010. Probably during some ORLGroup shows.
This seems to be his Bosnian Rainbows board:

I liked his bands better when he had an Afro and did heroin.

I posted a Bosnian Rainbows board awhile back, was like a scaled back multiboard setup that def contained a Rainbow Machine, VanAmps Reverbamate, and a whole bunch more.
EDIT: found the pic:

Here's a recent J. Homme board I saw over at the RekRek forums (

Dude with the killer stache kinda looks like Rick Shapiro.

I think his stuff with ORLG rules. Esp Xenophanes, Cryptomnesia and Solar Gambling from what I've heard of his massive discog.

Xenophanes absolutely kills
and the BR album isn't bad! Some songs are really awesome, some a bit meh-er, but it's cool
good tones as well... some moments left me completely lusting for a sound like that... i wonder what he used for those 70/80's funk/disco flangy tones, amazing

I wonder what he's using the whammy AND the POG for
(especially when they have so many keyboards and a second guitarist with a whammy onstage

)
