earth sound graphic fuzz based
has an added "offset null" knob on side
anyone know wtf that means?
stonefly dude doesnt want to tell me
so i guess the graphic fuzz is a takeoff on anderton hyperfuzz?
Oh man I have always wanted to try a graphic fuzz. The non-oscillation feature seems like a good idea.
And damn, the Dope Priest seems so great. Def one day I am going to get my hands on some EFE

not sure if you're interested but Stratgear in Portugal has Particle Series of the Lucifer Rising (there are 2 versions) once you subtract that VAT from the sales prices and add the shipping and do the euro conversion, they are about $250 each shipped

Matt at IdiotBox has been making one for years, as well as John Lyons from Basic Audio (for some other Graphic Fuzz options)

IT DID NOT RUMBLE! so I lost interest in the brand.. look, if you say rumble it better be able to shuffle HUGE speaker threading amounts of lows to an uncontrollable level.. so far though.. every builder has let me down in comparison to my old bublefont muff..

That was their first ever pedal, and I think it took a while for them to find their voice. I mean, the Rumblefuzz is not even space themed.

I remember back then, no one had interest in it really. Amazing what limited runs can do for hyyype.

recently picked up a land farm no masters
was waiting for a good price on that one for a while
even got the sleek blacked out version
I talked to the brother at Stonefly
he said the offset null is so subtle he almost didnt include it
and that you really need to have the filter set high to notice it
he also said he will be doing a 2nd run at some point
im still in the honeymoon phase with mine

But you can pick up new Spaceman way cheaper than new D*A*M, can't you? (I don't really know; I'm honestly asking.)
I don't have any direct experience with D*A*M or Eminating Fist fuzz, but aren't they mostly top-notch recreations of classic circuits? Not that there's anything wrong with a top-notch recreation of a classic fuzz.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Graphic Fuzz pedals that are recreated wont whistle as much as the vintage ones. I think it might have to do with the age of the transistors making that sorta thing worse. Might be more useful in 20 years than it is now, is what I am saying. (also its very possible I am totally wrong)

Yeah they are tweaks of classic fuzzes. The EFE line is more towards the doom/stoner crowd, and those are a bit more tweaked than the D*A*M line. It depends on what we are comparing in terms of prices. Rare spaceman can run up to several hundreds of dollars and maaaybe you can find some of the less rare fuzzes for under 200. According to my experience the spaceman pedals run in the 250€-300€ range, which is about what you should be ready to shell out for an EFE fuzz as well.
Which honestly does feel a little extreme for a fuzz pedal but what I meant is that if I was getting ready to pay 300+ for a fuzz pedal i want the one that says lucifer rising on it

yeah the alien sasquatch doesnt really whistle at all
you turn the filter all the way up and it will give you some of that resonanty filter thing but not much
it is a very small range at the very end of the knob

There's some mods to use a TL071 instead of a 741 and it whistles less, or not at all, but it didn't sound as raw to me. My build has a 741.. I'll just play something else if I don't want it to sound like a graphic fuzz.
Someone with a sasquatch should see if it's a 741 or other opamp.. for science.

I miss these but it was fun when I had them
-Dwarfcraft - Shiva/ ECT
-Devi Ever - Shoegazer, Anemia
-Mountainking - Megalith (probably #1 for me, I will own one again at some point)
I am sure I had many other fuzz boxes but these are the most memorable after taking a long absence from music. I remember getting the megalith - such a beast of a pedal.

I built a Megalith for a gift and it worked for me more than I expected. Angry huge saturated stuff, sure, but still with some touch sensitivity. And excellent rolling it back, too. Good better-than-a-Muff for people like me who don’t like Muffs.

I have kind of always wanted a megalith since I got into fuzz a decade ago. You just kind of re-sold me... One day.
