The only thing truly offensive here is CCs blatant disrespect for HH.

The economy is tough. I'd probably be living in a garage too if I wasn't married.

God yes. I fucking LOVE the Floyd, but the songs where Roger sings just ... god ... someone should have told him he was tone-deaf, they should have just had Dave and Rick sing everything.

Pretty much everything with the devil-growl vocals. I can handle the thrashy screamy stuff, but the cookie monster voice just kills me.

As someone who is also tone deaf you can't add Waters here or you'll kill my dreams.

I like Roger Waters...? Dave is no saint, he does that raspy smoked-too-many-cigarettes thing. A little too much Dylan in certain lines.
I just need some inforMAYshun, first
Anyway... uh... perhaps I was too hard on HH. They were just never my thing. I retract "absolute nadir." I do not retract "pleb mallcore."

Quick test to see if your band was a pleb mallcore band.

1. Were you on Victory Records?
2. Did you have a "RIYL" sticker on your CD?

:idk:

Very few (note, not none) good bands ever had to put a "RIYL" sticker on their CD. In fact, the only example to the contrary that comes immediately to mind is Moving Mountains. They had a "RIYL Explosions In The Sky" sticker on Pneuma, I think.

Also the Doors fucking suck and I will fight each and every one of you over that if you can put down your shitty oregano filled bongs and stop staring at your screen printed '12 commandments of the native american' mirrors long enough.

I watched the Doors movie the other night. I think Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan make a cute couple.

I wasn't surprised that a lot of people cringe when they hear Bright Eyes and Morrissey, but I was a little shocked to see so many people say Nirvana, actually? Like... I can't think of many singers who brought it like Kurt Cobain. I am not starting a CaseCandy fight, promise! Just... he was actually a really talented vocalist. Anyway, diff'rent strokes...

Like what's that song, "Hate your enemies, speak the truth"? That one is impossible to sing along with well. You either suck, or you lose your voice by the end of it.

Hawthorne Heights is the absolute nadir of pleb mallcore and not true emo in the slightest.
ETID as a whole is okay, but Hot Damn is excellent, and "Off Broadway" is one of the best breakdowns in all metalcore.
Also the Skrillex/Doors collaboration is a banger and made me respect both artists a hell of a lot more.

I hate to break it to you, but that's Roger singing those verses. Dave sings the "there is no pain, you are receding" parts, you know, the vocals that actually sound good
