That was their first ever pedal, and I think it took a while for them to find their voice. I mean, the Rumblefuzz is not even space themed.

Speaking of fuzz...
Can you guys recommend a preamp for recording guitars with fuzz toanz direct into my interface
Once i get it in digital realm i might add cab sim with amplitude etc
But as far as preamps, wondering if you guys have experience with recording guitars direct and what worked best
Not sure if i want to get a preamp as dry as possible, then do my tweaking digitally,
or get a preamp with a 12ax7 etc

I just go into my interface direct. Works OK, I record a lot of guitars for demos and actual music this way and think it sounds fine.
Have you tried doing that, and if you have tried it and didn't like it, what problems are you now looking to fix? That's the way to approach it I think

well i really dont have an interface per se, it is a soundcard with XLR in's
so a preamp is pretty much a requirement
I could use my shitty little behringer mixer but it probably wouldnt sound great
i used to have an FMR RNP really nice preamp, might get another one but thought i would run it by you guys and see if anyone has used a preamp specifically for recording fuzz guitars direct

ah right cool. Yeah sounds like you need something lol.
I can't deny I'm a little curious but since I get results I'm happy with from my general purpose interface (the preamps sound ok to my ears

) I've never looked into it. But getting a nicer preamp (for everything really) is sort of on my mind occasionally.

i could probably do just fine with the preamp on an interface like u have
no matter what i end up using, i will be running my guitars into Acustica Nebula plugin for mixing console, reel to reel and tape saturation sounds
i have a super old lynx sound card but the A/D converters are supposed to be crazy good, they do sound good
so ima keep rocking it

I"m using a combo of Kingsley preamp (and drives) coupled with a Two-Notes Torpedo CAB. I'm
really happy with this setup.

Hm nice. I use the two notes wall of sound cab sim plugin for 100% of my guitar recordings and it is excellent, so I bet the CAB is great too

They don't quite have a 100% feature overlap, but what they have in common seems to have identical sound.

I don't have experience with a range of recording gear (and I don't have great ears) but I get good results from a Tech 21 Sans Amp "Para Driver". I would guess any Sans Amp could be good.
I didn't have good results with the Digitech Cab DryVr. Sounded muffled and I couldn't dial in a good sound. I was trying to use the Sans Amp and Cab DryVr together - I pulled the CabDryVr from the chain and never looked back.

this is the fuzz that has my heart right now
earth sound graphic fuzz based
has an added "offset null" knob on side
anyone know wtf that means?
stonefly dude doesnt want to tell me
so i guess the graphic fuzz is a takeoff on anderton hyperfuzz?

The graphic fuzz oscillated basically everywhere, offset null is something to limit this when it's not desirable. I haven't seen his circuit, but it's like 1x741 chip so his prices seemed kind of bananas to me.
Best fuzzes. Lesse..
Devi Hyperion
Devi Bit
Devi Test Pattern
Fuzzhugger Arc Flash
Fuzzhugger Ab-synth
ZVEX factory
73 rams head
78 opamp
Stomping Stones Virus
DAPE #Rip
Too many more. In no particular order. Just what I like to jam on

formidable list there
thanks for clearing up the offset null thing
i just picked it up on reverb, got a monster deal
i haven't opened it up yet
i don't even like taking it out of the box
lots of effort went into the cosmetics, i cant think of another pedal ive ever had that was that over the top
i suppose trying to offset the low cost of those chips like you said
the '77 muff is my fav muff
rams head? guild foxey lady?
whatever it is
that version of the dope priest circuit is the best muff i've ever heard
years back, right after that first run of dope priest i did a side-by-side of a black smallbox skreddy mayo and that dope priest
i guess it comes down to a matter of preference, but i loved the attack of the DP more than that of the smoothy smooth smooth mayo. plus at the time the mayo was worth twice as much so that made it an easier decision
