Funny...after buying and selling dozens of boutique and vintage peds over the years, I ended up with a board full of cheap old pedals that were mensioned in this thread :)

OBD-3: I'll say it again, that thing is so NOT just a bass overdrive
FZ-3: The über-superfuzz clone as far as I'm concerned.
Dano Fabtone: Ridiculous amount of super nasty high for something that looks like a bluesy 50s booster.
Blue Box: Terrible tracking, incapable of handling chords, glitchy and unpredictable...And a helluva lot more fun than most "good" octave pedals I've come across :)

EHX Bassballs. Actually a pretty decent pedal, especially since I went into GC at 17-18 and asked them to give me something weird. Which I now realize is a pretty dumb thing to do...
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

First: Boss TR-2. I don't use it anymore but I keep it because it the day I got it I went to practice and kept it on the entire time and everyone in the band thought my playing improved. BOOM, pedals make me sound better I thought.
Second: V7 NYC Big Muff: still have it too but I think the switch is dying and my Black Russian is much better. Brought that to practice and I got kicked out right away because I was too loud and not fitting in with the "band idea". A Wolf Parade clone band doesn't need a distorted bass.

I can't remember when I first got a pedal in my hands for myself to use and keep, but I'm thinking it was a DS-1 that a friend from high school left with me after jamming one day. After that I just recall a slew of pedals I didn't keep. The only one I should have was a V8 black Russian Big Muff.

Get the fuck out.

Mine was a Fab Metal. Then probably the Metal Muff. There was some other bad shit in there as well.

My dad had a DOD flanger for some reason, but the first one I bought with my own money was a Dunlop Crybaby and a Fuzz Face. I had watched a Hendrix and SRV vhs tape at my uncle's house and been transfixed by Hendrix.

It was either a DD-6 or Shoe Gazer.
I miss hearing the SG pick up radio stations at my friend's house.
