Awesome. Thanks for the response, skully. I was mainly concerned about the build quality. How did you get your Lucite so soon? I though they just introduced them at this summer's NAMM. Oh, and is drool good for oiling rosewood, too?

How long until the Dirge baritone aluminum neck Electric Loog build?

I dig it, I'd like one just to entertain myself while traveling.

They have a backpack for it, and are in Brooklyn, I believe.

I was just thinking that I'll eventually get one of these and was lamenting the fact that their regular color offerings weren't really to my taste.

Then I came across this:

Definitely the hottest Loog.

There is one on eBay now, in a sealed box, for less than new price.

Build Quality is good! And H keeps the drool all over the fretboard nicely haha

They quoted me a month for the Lucite guy, I think it only took 2-3 weeks? They said they felt bad so they sent me a free clip on tuner

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but for people who have one of these : are they actually playable/enjoyable for an adult ? What kind of string gauge does the nut/bridge support ?

I realized recently that even though I've technically almost always owned at least one guitar since ages ago I'm not really a guitar person. When I play one I typically only use a few strings at a time, which might be one of the reasons why I'm havhing much more fun with my bass (or my synths ;) ). So, this train of thought led me to the Warren Ellis tenor, which is basically made of awesome but also quite expensive, especially locally for me. But that thing is relatively cheap and looks great too. Super tempting. Urgh. :animal:

I like playing it a lot. Action is pretty low. The nut is set up for any of the strings that it comes with, so a standard set. I have DGB strings on my sons right now and it's great

I didn't need to see these, they just put bad ideas into my head.....

Like how great would it be for a band like Sunn O))) to record an album with them.

International shipping is still quite expensive ($80 for me), otherwise I would probably have bought one...
