Is this gonna be like a metal version of a Danelectro, just a hollow construction with some structural framing? (Is that how Trusart does it?)

YALL STILL AINT READY

Alright I guess I'll spill some beans.
It's a body being built by Chris of Hamilton Steel Guitars who approached me and told me he wanted to build me something.

Essentially yes, it will be hollow and play somewhat like a hollow body. I am curious how it compares to my all aluminum EGC, which also has a pretty hollow body with the neck built around it. I love what Chris is doing with his guitars, and this will be my first experience with steel of any kind.

It will be RED, because I've always kind of wanted a red guitar. I'm still sorting out details of the pickguard in terms of color. I can't decide between brushed and black. The guitar will have two pickups, Alumitone Deathbuckers. The neck pickup will be angled Mosrite style.

The neck is also up for debate. I thought long and hard about putting the Bastin neck from the Jazzmaster onto this body, but I didn't just sink all that cash into the Jazzmaster for it to have a wooden neck.

Instead I think I am going to go completely out of the box with this neck, I think it's going to take me a while to save up for it, but I am thinking of doing a Wenge Warmoth neck with Wenge fretboard, stainless steel frets (because seriously once you play stainless steel NOTHING feels the same), Sperzel locking tuners (won me over on the Bastin neck), and pearl inlays with the Warmoth Standard Thin neck profile. I spec'd it out and it's in the ballpark of like $450 though...

Top welded on and cut for the pickup routes. Swimming pool route so that if I ever decide I want something else it will only take a new pickguard! The pickguard also seals up the top of the guitar
