can anyone here mod my MXR Blue Box?

i love the sound of the B-box fuzz without octave... fantastic fuzz sound.
problem is as we all know- THE FUCKER HAS NO VOLUME.
i've tried a boost with it, but it just takes on the sound of the boost and it's still shitty and weak.
can anyone out there mod this guy to get past unity gain?

Post this in the DIY forum, you will get more responses there. I believe it's not a very difficult mod to do. Someone there will tell you how to do it yourself.

The C11 mod is insanely simple to do (which I think you're referring to?) but you do lose some of the octave. From what I remember, that capacitor just attenuates highs so you don't actually get more volume, just the perception because there are more highs present. But if you don't want it on a switch it is just a matter of clipping a lead and putting it all back together.
