Looking for recording advice

Post by Lesniak »

I'm looking for an inexpensive multi track as a sketchbook - nothing fancy. I'm hoping to record line in, not mic the amp (we have a newborn at home, volume might get me killed...).

I'm running a Laney 700TF and looking to run a lead out of the effects loop into :idk: ; I run the pedalboard in front of the amp. It's been a looong time since I've tried to record (I used a tascam 4-track that recorded onto a cassette tape) - any advice as to setup and equipment would be greatly appreciated!

roland vs series are real nice....u could prolly get one used on ebay for a nice price...what kinda budget ar eyou lookin to spend?

since u mentioned the old tascams...what about getting another one? they can be had very inexpensively on ebay...i got mine for like 20 bucks or somethin. tapes and all sorts of accessories (cleaning kits, etc) are like a dollar.

I was hoping to keep equipment in the $200 or less range. I've been eyeballing a tascam dp-004.
