true but Bernie doesn't have rednecks with bumper stickers on their red trucks saying he lied and people died... :idk: the benghazi thing will now always haunt her, she really messed up… interns of how she responded and reacted to the press and whatnot :idk:

Notice how since this whole email "scandal" has happened nobody is talking about Bengazi.

Republicans will do anything they can to tear her down. Even(read: especially) beating a non-issue to death.

Well, yeah, they have always hated her, and always will. I don't trust her, and the idea of Bush V Clinton makes me sick… but I will never vote for a republican/"conservative" so fuck me and stuff.

I'm a pretty straight up moderate-Democrat, and I'm not enthused about Hilary. I'd like to see the Democratic Party get some new life breathed into it and focus on retaking congress. Gotta take advantage of that higher voter turnout on presidential years.

I'd like to see Bernie as the new president...although I'd maybe consider voting for Kasich if (and he wont, only reason I say that out loud) he gets the Repub's nomination. For as two-faced as she is, you can trust Hilary to lie between the two of them... :idk: ...idealistically, I'm not too happy about the whole set-up, but pragmatically (which is a much larger percentage of me), I love this whole long, overly dramatic election cycle. It's like my version of sports.

Blah blah blah...we really need electoral reform...blah blah...

I dunno man, I mean the west coast is fairly left, but he's setting records at each stop for the amount of people coming out. Middle america will be the key to this thing, will they hear the message? He's getting a near blackout when it comes to mainstream coverage. and if the momentum continues like it has been, he Might turn into a juggernaught. People like that he hasn't taken any corporate money. No other candidate can have a good answer to that.

What will hurt Democrats is what hurt Republicans in 2008 and that's the economy. 30 year low in the workforce participation rate (people working), stagnant wages. That's what caused the turnover blood bath in the midterms and it's what can hurt Democrats since the situation has not improved for working Americans.

The Greece economic failure doesn't bode well for Democrats either. Tax and spend broke Greece and it can break us. So those that have understood the Greek situation (and economics) are not likely to vote for a Democratic congress.

Hillary's best hope lies in Trump. He's unelectable, entertaining but unelectable. If he can slow the gaffs down and keep the crazier wing of the Republican party enthused he'll fracture the party and scare that middle ground that wins elections. Jeb would also be good for HIllary.

Republican's best hope lies in Dr. Ben Carson and Rand Paul. American as a country is becoming socially liberal and that helps Rand Paul who is a libertarian in Republican clothing. With Dr. Ben Carson; not only do you have the best hope for Republicans to capture some of the black vote, but him being a neurosurgeon will automatically neutralize the Democrats "never gets old" method of calling any Republican stupid because stupid people aren't neurosurgeons.

I would say that eight years of GWB and a pair of invasions hurt the Republicans as much, if not moreso, than the economy did. The midterm turnover in 2010 was, to my mind, definitely influenced by a racist reaction to a black president. Disagree with his policies or not, but the vehemence of a group like the Tea Party isn't simply rage at government overreach -- otherwise it would have started in earnest during W's first term, not in 2009.

+1. People who think that racism isn't a major factor in criticism of Obama are delusional.

Just to clarify, what I said:

People who think that racism isn't a major factor in criticism of Obama are delusional.

What I did not say:

All criticism of Obama boils down to just racism.

Well, these things are all case by case. For example, are you okay with war, if it is fought with supersoldiers engineered from aborted fetuses, over the legalization of marijuana, that when you smoke it, it turns you gay?

nope, I really don't believe war is ever anything other then a pretty way to say hey let's murder a bunch of people. I'm ok wit pot being legal because it is stupid for it to be and the amount of money wasted on enforcing keeping it illegal is criminal. Nothing can turn you gay, gay is rather normal because people are people.. now…right wing fundamentalist bigots… that is taught… those people were corrupted from being sane by very sick and misguided individuals.

I tell you this as long as the next President isn't

black, white, gay, straight, anti abortion, for abortion, for the war, against the war, gun toting, gun taking, liberal, republican, democrat, moderate, religious, anti religion, rich or not so rich....I think we'll be in pretty good shape here.

;)

So basically we're fucked no matter what at this point. LOL

Bah. The Euro broke Greece, along with tax evasion of their wealthy (that is, "not tax"). If they were still on the Drachma they wouldn't be stuck in this stupid austerity trap. Compare the strength of Argentina's recovery when they removed the dollar-peg from their currency.
