My only problem thus far is knowing which quantization mode you're in, but that's only a minor inconvenience. :idk: Love the new modes though. :!!!:

Ya i guess you just have to use your ears at the moment. maybe next update i will make the LED blink each time you turn the knob enough to change modes? that won't tell you which one you are in though, just that it has changed.

Also just a heads up to anyone with outstanding payment: I have removed the balance item from the store because a lot of people were starting to buy it not understanding it was just the balance. This has been a bit time consuming to go through and sort out, so please just email me directly when you want to pay the balance and include your balance order # if you have access to it. There is no rush and there is only a few people outstanding so i think this is just easier at this time. There is now an item in the tictail store with a similar message. Sorry for any inconveniences, next time maybe we will use a more sophisticated system.

I was wondering if this was going to be a problem for you or not. Being able to access that portion of the site (store) and being that the balance purchase option is the only option, seemed potentially confusing to those not prompted by your email reminder. I could see a casual observer interpreting that part of the store as a way to purchase a CT5.

How many "error" orders do you think you got since the balance option was originally published?

tbh i'd rather not say. It's not a huge deal, i'm just stating why the item is now removed.

Maybe instead of blink switch from red to blue? That way you can think "third red from the right is this q mode." Just a thought.

Also, for changing Q in all modes in the old version of the pedals, wouldn't pressing the soft switch/turning Dir1 when the pedal is bypassed do the trick?

Ya that's a pretty good idea. Would love to hear what people would prefer. My only problem with having to bypass is that you can't hear wtf is going on anymore. But it is a good solution otherwise.

My own leading idea so far for putting q switch in all modes on the 2 switch models is to actually just do it the same way in all modes as it is in mode 1. That is say in mode 3 you want to change the q you just act like you are recording a sample but if you move the DIR 1 knob while recording it also just changes the Q mode. So if you don't play anything it wont really layer anything plus you have changed the q mode. In a "guitar" situation it is unlikely you would have hands on teh pedal to warp dir 1 when you are actually playing sampling something so it seems to make sense.

For mode 2 since it normally loops anew sample when you record you could have some exception if the q mode was changed. like oh i thought you were recording but since you changed the q mode i will disregard that and just keep this sample going, but with a new Q mode.

Also maybe it is better to shift the pot that selects the Q to not DIR 1, so then you can pick a Q mode with the other pot, and while you still have the soft switch down, play with dir 1 to see/hear what the q mode is etc.

I have not implemented it yet but that is basically the plan at the moment. If anyone who is using the pedal has some input i would definitely take it into consideration

I will double check it today but i think it is already OK. On the original you had 3 q modes. It only went to standstill on the non quantized mode. Now you have 6 q modes. It only goes to standstill on the non quantized mode (still). This should be the most ccw option on both firmwares and the default the pedal "boots" into when you power it up.

let me know.

vidret wrote:i dont mean to be a cunt, though i'm sure i'll come off as one, but something changed with the way the direction works on the samples (they feel quantized all the time, maybe i'm doing it wrong? - the loops no longer go to a stand still with the knob at noon, they seem to stop at -1 octave (i think?) - either way they don't go to stand still.

so can i get a link for the old one back? or am i simply doing it wrong.

ps it's easier to handle now, but that also means less noise/messing with the loops. i wanna mess with em.

Hi,

yes you are right actually, someone else contact me with what i think you meant and I have had a moment to check it out, in mode 3 the non quantized mode can't actually be accessed. It is a bug in the firmware so I will post version 0.931 in the next day or so with this corrected.

thanks for the info.

I love what this pedal can do but those footswitches are too close together for my clumsy feet. Any chance a future version will have a larger enclosure for dummies like me?

I don't think this pedal will get bigger but we are working on some larger designs.

I love the compact layout! I don't have any problems with it live either.
