Playings overrated. Boom boom chi is good enough with a silly kit like that.

Re: ILOVEDRUMS... It Begins.
What kick drum technique do you all use? Heel up or heel down?
I'm a heel down player and can get some good expressive patterns in time and without much fatigue. When I have tried to play heel up, I found I could stomp a lot harder but less expressiveness. And I experienced more fatigue in my right leg.

I use both depending on what I'm playing. majority of the time it's heel up because it works best for me in speed.
for slower stuff, it goes back and forth and it's less of heel down more like whole foot stomping down like there's a million roaches beneath me.

It's good to have something, even very simple to play on at your house.

Im not looking forward to the day I crack my 24 inch ride.
Sidenote, playing drums and doing vocals is fucking hard.

Re: ILOVEDRUMS... It Begins.
it takes a great while to get down. esp if it's two different rhythmic patterns. it's best to just practice it while you play and play as if you are playing a show, don't tap shit out or half ass it cause then you'll fuck up when it comes to a live show.
I used to do it an older techincal grind band and in one of my older sludge bands that occassionally does shows.
it's like second nature now. The portal style death metal band I'm doing with a friend I'm drumming and doing vocals.

Re: ILOVEDRUMS... It Begins.
Well you did just start out on drums as well so doing both while techincally still learning is what makes it more difficult.
