Eucalyptus oil is good for that. How is the printing applied? It won't remove paint or anything that's been baked on, but will possibly remove ink. Do you guys get that over in the U.S.? Gets rid of sticky stuff and makes the pedal sound real purdy too.K2000 wrote:What should I use to clean dust and gunk off pedals and synths? I inherited a Microkorg from my late friend, and it has thick, sticky dust on it. Some of my pedals have been sitting too long, and have a film on them (?) Hopefully there's something which doesn't require elbow grease, but doesn't remove printing, labels etc. I have some CD cases with the same problem.

I've seen it at health food stores...not that I shop there because they don't sell red bull and processed sharp cheddar...but I was looking for root beer ingredients. I'm sure it could be found though, it's America!KaosCill8r wrote:Eucalyptus oil is good for that. How is the printing applied? Eucalyptus oil is awesome. I have to buy it at hippy health shops at inflated prices. But I use it for cleaning all sorts of stuff.

Need some consultation:
What is the general going rate for a v1 triangle muff? Ebay sold listings have them everywhere from 470-900. I was offered one in a trade but would need to get about 600 for it to make the trade worthwhile. Is it doable? 2 knobs are missing the tops, but otherwise its pretty clean.

Couple of thoughts:
1: Do they not let non-hipsters in there? Do they assume people that are over 6'2" and weigh over 180 just play sports or something? Are they all hired actors for the video? I dunno, they all look too put together and forced to be a cross section of the music and electronics world. Moog mood ring (what's the cutoff on feeling low)? I'll start jogging so I can get into moog stuff more.
2: What kind of mojo does that moog mixer have? Moog filters for the eq section or something?
3: Werkstatt is pretty neat. Love moog stuff/sound. 12 sounds neat.
4: What is with this korg and moog trend of selling snap together kits with no soldering? They say it is for learning, but what is really learned?

I guess that it's about being comfortable building something with less of a concern about troubleshooting mistakes. My first pedals that I made were a pain to unsolder/resolder. Then again what's the target market? Beginners or experienced?lordgalvar wrote:

That being said, i'd totally be down for one of these kits.
