Meet Maude Appreciation Station

Post by beezlebub »

Maude, I am so glad we met. Your warm dark warbly repeats, your ability to feedback tunable echoes infinitely droning whatever sounds I make, your awesome compressor, your tasteful modulation. Totally inspirational pedal. Sleeper classic for sure. Anybody else here have love for Maude?

Also love Meet Maude. Been on my board since it came out. Have a feeling I havent explored it enough. Not tried anything in the loop etc.
I find it too dark to have as my main delay though... Have the tone at maximum treble to get it anywhere near my normal tone.
Is this normal?

I've been meaning to try one for sure, it seems like a sure fit with the warped vinyl. Also it allows me to put my No Memory prefuzz.

I wake up with morningwood for her evarday, and she is right there waiting for me.

She made it possible for me to stop hoarding, yet I will always hoard her. Her secret is the way she waltzes right up to the line of too dark, to grainy, too chaotic, too too, and NEVER goes over the edge. Which is such a hawt tease. Can't get enough of it.

I loved it when I played by myself. Played it live with the modulation on and it made me sound out of tune, but not in a fun vibrato way, which sucked cause I thought the modulation was what made it special. With the modulation off played live it was hard to tell it apart from any other delay :(

Yeah--it can be tough to mix pitch modulation into a band context, particularly if there are other non-modulated instruments in your frequency range...that's why I kicked all other guitards and keyboreds out of ma band! Bwahaha....

one of the baddest fuckers around. there's honestly a couple of things that bug me about it, though; there's noticeable clock noise in the 'longer' delay settings(apparently fixable through the internal trim which was beyond me at the time) & if you have the feedback set too high(which is where i loved it) it'll squeal upon engaging..besides that it is a gooey awesome sounding delay :thumb: the repeats mold and fold into each other unlike any other delay I've heard. very versatile
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

It's my favorite delay ever, almost always on short delay time medium-feedback. The darkness is something I love big time.

So washy. So fucky. I love it.
I pair it with an old DSD-2 to achieve slightly longer times in that 600-800 ms range in a band context but that's it, at home fucking around I am 100% devoted to Maude.

This thread is valid as fuck god damn.

Oh aye, only thing that will disrupt it is a Chase Bliss delay. Otherwise I am super fucking happy.

Well we've only been dating about a week and except for the fungus that she aquired from her last boyfriend (she's taking some meds) I think I might be in love... Also I got drunk and had a 3 way with her and El Cap and it might become a regular thing...
