Simple Sample Pad?

Post by snipelfritz »

I'm thinking about working some electronics/samples or something into my drumming since I play in a two piece (just saw Death From Above 1979 also so that was inspiring). What's a cheapish (like under $150) way to go about this?

Anybody have experience with the Alesis SamplePad?

If you just want to trigger some samples and want hardware/tactile feedback, something like the Akai MPX8 or MPX16 would probably fit the bill...

Ach, I managed to miss the "into my drumming" part... my bad. These might not be the best for you...

Yeah, if you want to hit it with sticks then it'll be a lot more then $150...
