Anyone got a Les Paul Studio?

Post by Sarillo34 »

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be getting a Les Paul Studio this week. Was just wondering if anyone else has one and what they like and disliked about it. I've played one and loved it and it fit's my budget at the moment, so...yeah. Also, I wanna get acouple Devi Ever fuzz pedals if anyone has suggestions on that I would love some feedback. I'm thinkin one of the manglers and two others. Thanks everyone.

I own a Vintage Mahogany LP Studio. The Burstbucker Pro's are awesome and do wonders with the fuzz. Plus it's all mahogany, none of that maple top bullshit. The chambering makes it lighter and gives it a bit more sustain.

Get a Dream Mangler or a Bit Mangler. Those are the coolest. Though if you're starting out, everyone recommends the Hyperion. Personally, I'd suggest taking a look at the White Spider which is being outsourced to our own Tom Dalton at Fuzzhugger.com. It's a 05>Torns Peaker, which is probably one of my favorite Devi combos out there (sans Improbability Drive).

WELCOME TO THE FUZZ

I got a LP Studio. I put some flatwounds on it (which I'm sure is a horrible thing to some) but I normally play jazzy jazz on it 'cuz it's got such a full clean tone. However, I did use it on one song, with an Ab-Synth, to get an absurdly huge, heavy fuzz sound from it. But that was really just a studio thing, it probably wouldn't have punched through the mix if I tried to do it live.

Right now I'm more on a treble kick, so the LP Studio isn't my thing. But if you want awesome sustain and heaviness, the LP is the way to go. And the Studio is a great model. :thumb:

i dont have a studio, but i have burstbucker pros in my zebrawood classic antique lp. sweet pups they are!!! studios are nice guitars. :thumb:

by mangler and two others i assume you are talking about the stand alone joystick mangler? i love the disaster fuzz, but you cant go wrong with a df, sm, vf, or kp. really the best thing to do is watch all of the demos and find the fuzz that you like best. :)*

dream mangler is manglishus!!!!

check out the fuzzhugger great wall. i am being totally cereal. go to http://www.fuzzhugger.com today! :poke:

if you get a mellowtone trumpet fuzz and run that into a fuzzhugger great wall you will sound like tony iommi's mustache!!!

Check out the Ab-Synth in the liue of a mangler. All of the oscillation tones you could ever possibly want. :excellent:

Naw I'm not talkin about the joystick, Im talkin about the pedal. I think I'm going to go with the Dream Mangler, and the US Bit for sure. I've watched a lot of the videos and like them all, the other pedal I'm really liking is the Eye Of God. Will I need to get an effect pedal to use this or can I run say a loop from Logic into the Eye of God and get the feedback from it? If anyone can gimme some info on the Eye of God pedal I would greatly appreciate it.
