There's no envelope in the Vorg, it's just a filter/distortion.

Dan Snazelle uploaded this yesterday, no idea what it really is, but it's a fuzz with an LFO. I guess he's been working on it for a few years.
Seems interesting:

Much excite for new snazzy fx

I have a cusack tap-a-scream that does what op wants too but is. Tubescreamer variation, has loads of waveforms that are tons of fun.

Regarding PWM fuzzes, Penny Pedals just came out with the Digital Pulse modulated PWM... and it sounds pretty cool to me!

The filter control on the Vorg is listed as "env" and there is slight ramping from what I can hear. I didn't include it in envelope fuzzes but just as something different to try.

LAL and exp is correct, but I run my cv souces through a cord I made with an LED/LDR built in. The broadcast drives the LED just fine actually (with the 0-5v being sent). I kinda figured that was a given with most pedals that are controlled with an exp pedal (and he says on his website that you use an exp pedal for them). I also mentioned to just use an LDR to control the pedals. Sorry I wasn't more explicit.

Also excited for the snazzy stuff.

the trek dont have modulation built in, you need to modulate manually with an expression or an lfo/sequencer for time based modulation/sweep. Uncle Grandfather did a video with the moog ring mod lfo (mostly super fast)

and with the noise swash lfo

and yes modulating the tone and the width will create even more crazy textures

Yeah, it's labelled "envelope", I just didn't want anybody to confuse it with a envelope followed filter. I like the Vorg clone I have, it's just not what the OP is looking for. It's a great filter though, but I like most filters.

I'm sure these exist, but I'm new and don't know where to look.
well (and forgive me if someone already brought this up). If the gain control you are looking to LFO modulate is just controlling the gain on an input stage that feeds a clipping stage, then you could just get away with putting a tremolo before it.

A ton of Freppo's stuff has some kind of modulation in the fuzz. He is currently selling the Arcadiator as a full blown pedal, and has PCBs if you're DIY savvy.

You want the over all volume at output of pedal to remain consistent, and just the tooth/distortion element of the gain to rise and fall, correct?

That could be challenging in a standard transistor type fuzz if you want the low ebb of the gain to essentially be *clean* (ie: largely transparent), unless you go over to the dark side and employ VCA type circuitry.

Thanks for the plug! I like CV support; mine modulates the power rails, so while a tremolo effect is certainly available it's wholly NOT working in tandem with a clean line.

I'm going to dive deeper into CV, but right now I need to stay focused on one thing at a time. Tap tempo is also an aspect that speaks micro-controller to me, which is outside my comfort zone - but I do know some people. Would spanning this function over a couple/few devices be too messy? I feel like it would be a shame to build an amplitude stable circuit that modulates dirt only and then force it to eat from a single CV waveform (and sticking an ADSR envelope on a pedal just amplifies crazy).

I seem to recall that some of the TC stuff (like maybe the fireworx) employed a modulation matrix [basically the digital version of routing CVs for flexible control].
I'm sure there are others, and you'll want to check my accuracy on the fireworx. It's one of those features that I don't really think about and I haven't used some of that gear for years...even being the time traveler that I am
