i love this bass ~~ ! it sounds pretty dang good. the cool rails neck pickup + flatwound combo make it so creamy, but it can get punchy with the tone knob dialed all the way in. i have never owned a bass before and i've just been playing this thing all day it feels so great haha

Does it still sound bassy after the pick up mod? planning on getting one of these soon.

I'd keep it there. I usually find the typical tone knob gets way too muffled at minimum settings.
