sweat & bare enclosures

Post by resincum »

do these 2 not jive well together? my dan muff has sweat spots that I absolutely cannot get off (haven't tried acetone..) as well as my I Q-36 and Meet Maude. the maude actually looked like spores were growing on my sweat spots, pretty epic. is this normal or is something up with the fluids dripping off my body?
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

probably oxidization.

aluminum doesn't rust the same way as e steel etc, but still oxidizes when wet, possibly leaving teh marks you speak of

Do not use acetone, at least on a pedal with any clear finish (ie dat Muffburger) and no matter what be extremely careful. Maybe try in one small space with a Q-tip and try something not quite as strong, maybe rubbing alcohol. Sparingly.

I've never seen anything oxidize like that unless there was a chemical or extreme moisture involved in the oxidation process. Where do you play? What's around you when you play?

I had half the shit in my garage rust because of acid I didn't have closed all the way. It happened so rapidly, there was nothing I could do.

That's crazy dude.

¡MUTANT SWEAT!

I would try diluted rubbing alcohol and go from there

it's happening to fuck mountain, too.

am i smoking too much weed? should I start harvesting this shit? wonder if it has to do with why the mosquitoes aren't biting me..

i'll try diluted rubbing alcohol if i get around to it, but since this seems to be so odd i'm going to enjoy the character it brings :thumb:

Are you sure it's not just gunk on the pedals (they get wet, soak up dust, whatever, it dries on)?
