I have only played an hour or so with it on bass, but only with headphones and didn't notice anything particular, haven't been been able to play full volume though. It's kind of silly not to have a volume knob though...

True, though it's pretty common for both reverbs and modulation to go without a volume.

Regarding the volume boost/drop, I get a little volume boost depending om where it is in my chain. When I'm playing clean, there's no discernable change. After the Big Spider, there's a little bit of a bump, but after my V3 Bif Muff there isn't. It also hates being before the Spider (lots of hiss from the Verellen when they're both engaged) unless there's another pedal in between.

Yeah. What I was telling jrms is that with certain modulation settings I would get boosts in certain frequency ranges, especially at low volumes. But then at high volumes I struggled with the modulation and how it would feedback because I was playing really loud.
