calling the super-small-scale pedal builders....

Post by tuj »

Hi all:

Hopefully some of you all know me, from selling me pedals or on the various threads. I'm also really active over at Muffwiggers, and occasionally on TGP.

My wife and I are in the very early stages of starting a new business. We both love fuzz ( I'm so lucky) and pedals. We are looking for very small-scale pedal builders who have unique designs. We are not a distributor or retailers, but I don't want to give away the business model just yet; we're not ready. What I will say is that we will get your pedal into a bunch of different hands, solicit feedback and demos, and generally build buzz. We will also provide linkage from our website to yours and to your retailer. This business is aimed squarely at the ILF demographic.

Just to be clear, we are not asking for free pedals, nor anything else. It is simple: we are buying pedals right now. (I have lots of feedback here, on Reverb, on the *bay, etc)

We want your really cool designs. Unique stuff, not just another muff variation unless it is really unique please. No clones of in-production pedals unless they are a true variation. We like analog. We like digital. We do not like modified Boss or other mods. We like true-bypass. We like center neg. 9v. We want your own builds. Your proudest creations. To participate you don't need to build 100's of pedals a year. We are only looking for one of each model right now. Again, we're not in competition with your distributors or retailers or your web-channel sales.

So if you are interested in selling us a pedal or two of your build, please get in touch with me. Tell me what you've got, what they do, and where I can see or hear a demo of each pedal. You may have questions, so feel free to PM me and ask away.

We are trying to help serve the ILF community in a new way.

PS. Sorry to post this in General Gear but DIY didn't really seem right and I didn't want to run through contacting everyone on the Shark Tank individually. Mods: feel free to move this where appropriate.

PPS. For those of you who aren't builders and are wondering what's up with this post, please have patience. We will be launching our business soon to the public.

It makes everyone want one even though they don't know what it does. Very technical - the official terminology is LFO-Driven GAS Modulation.

Ex-NASA shit. Strong stuff.

No man, that's the mechanical sun. The anti-nautilus is a Audio-Driven Turbo Encabulator (ADTE).

dude I have been around long enough to know ALL about that. I lost on her scam too. Please don't make the comparison!

We're asking for nothing. We fund this all ourselves through our jobs.

Yes, eventually we are going to try to make money. But that's not what this post is about, and I'm certainly not crowd-sourcing anything or venture-funding anything like that.

And, I hate that. I regret that I might further it, just a little. She needs to be forgotten, asap.

Anyway...

So, what's your idea?

Huh?

hang on just a bit Blake, we are still trying to establish our relationships with our builders and waiting on inventory...

The last thing I want to do is jump too soon, or too far too fast, so we're going to do a slow roll out, probably starting with invitations. I will be sure to include you!
