Does anyone actually have one? I need/want a delay with an effects loop and this is small, simple, cheap, and top mounted enough to be super high on my list. Does it sound good/better than the carbon copy? Has anyone run a ring mod in the effects loop? If I put my freeze in the effects loop will I get infinite droney repeats..?

My brain says that the Freeze wouldn't work in the loop as it would (probably) just return a drone rather than endless repeats, but I could be wrong.

I do fancy one though.

Always been curious about the vapor trail myself. If either the max delay time was a bit longer, or the price was a bit lower, I'd probably been all over it

Don't know about freeze+loop though, if it's even remotely awesome, I might be gas'ing for a vapor trail after all

My solution for endless repeats is a Freeze into an Idiotbox Mad Doctor Stutter, which works perfectly.

Actually seems pretty cool if it sounds good. I'd have to buy a fancy cable of some sort to make the loop work, which is a bummer. I'd rather it just have 4 jacks. I'll need to watch some reviews after work.

it's only a stereo jack split into two monos, so shouldn't be too pricey

Or just get a little hammond style box and wire a stereo jack that splits and have an two switchable external loops for fun. Plus you'd just have to have a trs cable that way and not worry about back up ones. Or a blend box with two loops for even more fun.

As much as I live Fairfield, feedback loopers are a dime a dozen, and insanely easy to build. Modulated analogue delay less so haha!

Love the analog side of the Duncan Deja Vu...definitely on the darker, more syrupy tip...great build, lot's of smart features.. Deja Vu has two inserts--one in the feedback loop so that whatever you put in there "intensifies" with each repeat, and one outside (I think just before, in the circuit) )the loop. It's not as compact, different control over mod depth (rather than effecting the width-of-swing of delay time, it mixes modulated analog delay with un-modulated digital--sort of a wet-wet mix).

Anyway--it's not what you're looking at, but it's really nice, a sleeper, and probs as cheap as the Vapor Trail for arguably quite a bit more delay functionality.

I was going to sell mine, but then I played with it and, for the money I can get for it, I'm going to hold on to it for a while longer.

The biggest problem with that delay was crap demos and a feature set that was too different from the norm....

I expect the Vapor Trail would be really nice; would definitely look into it if I was searching for BBD....

I ended up picking up the Robot Effects Space Case in BST (what happened to that company? They made? make? a ton of really interesting shit) which does everything I wanted out of the Vapor Trail and then some, but if it works out, I'll probably end up with one of the Duncans for my bass board

The switchable loop is a really cool addition too. being able to switch from wet to dry being effected mid set will be really rad for droney stuff and texture. I'm thinking a fuck with constant crackle in the loop on my drone board.
