TS50B Troubleshooting
Hey Kids,
I recently picked up a Traynor YRM-1 and the seller kindly tossed in a TS50b for free. Awesome right?
Well, it turns out the TS50B has an issue. The speaker outs are not working but the line out works fine.
Any tips for a DIY fix? Or should I just be an adult and bring it to a tech?

Re: TS50B Troubleshooting
Wish I could help ya on that TS50b. Hope that YRM is treating you well. Of all the gear I just unloaded to help fund my home/farm purchase, I only regret selling my YRM-1.
Edit: May want to check out the soldering on the contact points of both your line out/speaker out jacks. I was unlucky enough to play a marshall valvestate at one point and that fixed a very similar issue.

The YRM is a gem. I actually can't get enough of it. The 4x10 that came with it is a little blah. I was thinking of buying new speakers for it, but i don't know shit about 10" speakers. I may sell it.
I'll check the soldering points in the AM. Thanks for the tip.
Hope the Farm is treating you right.

Re: TS50B Troubleshooting
Yah I have a ton of work on my hands, have barely gotten to play lately, but the family is happy, and so am I. Being able to turn my Ampeg V2 up to "5" brings a smile to my face.
May not fix your problem, but wouldn't hurt is to get some contact cleaner. May be a possibility that the amp has just sat the last 30 years and those jacks may have oxidized. If you have a guitar center near by grab some deoxit and clean those jacks.
If money is tight and you only have a radio shack near by as is the case with me, go to their soldering section and get their lubricating spray, its $6, and is a mix of deoxit with a heavier cut of mineral oil. I use this stuff lightly with great results.

Re: TS50B Troubleshooting
Fixed!
It was a one two punch of oxidation and a bad fuse.
now, do I really need to keep it?
A farm, tons of work? The hell you say.

I would be up for that.
My work schedule is a little crazy at the moment but I am sure we could figure something out.

I'll be in town for like two more weeks, then I move back to Oakland. Should have my Mother later this week. PM and we can work it out. I don't have a car anymore but my garage is a soundproofed studio.
