Wait, is ILF Lovecraftian?

Anyway, I'm not the biggest fan of stage gimmicks... but I kinda like guitar smashing if it's a small band. If it's a rich band it rubs me the wrong way.

So before you watch a band do you ask for their W-2's or something? I think it would be a good idea to ask if they live with their parent's or are still dependent on them.......

Lol just messing with you, but yeah I'd be pissed if someone smash a Les Paul and then bought a new one the next day just for a gimmick. It's like come on dude, I'm over here playing a fuck**g sherton epiphone bi**h.
Good deals with fungalattack, Pumpkinpieces, hatshirt, the5chord

add 'eating a bunch of carbs beforehand' and 'nearly dying in the gutter out front of the venue to go along with the headache' to that and you're basically describing the guitarist in my band. I think I have photos somewhere.

I did this with my old grind band. Not intentionally. But fuck me it hurt afterwards, and I was out of it for a fair while.

In that band we used to do anything - went out and played in women's underwear, tutus, whatever. Anything that was as unmetal as fuck to maximise contrast to the music. The bassist could spew on command and once spewed into a bucket, tipped it on his head and kept playing. It was not awesome. But so awesome.

Current band - we usually play in some sort of makeup - the other guitarist likes to paint a white hand on his face like Saruman's orcs in the LOTR films, I tended to just paint a single black line, about an inch or two thick, usually vertically or horizontally. Dunno why. Just for visual impact I guess.

Would love to play a gig with the whole band looking like Manowar. That would be fucking excellent. Because oiled up men is metal.

I used to walk around the audience and get people wrapped up in my mic cord and pretty much sexually assault all the guys in the audience.

^winner

I just wear some kind of headgear that blocks out the audience/my face and look down for 95% of the show. It's not to be a gimmicky shigæizer, I'm just a shy dude. I focus more on what I'm doing that way.

Uncomfortablegrind is the best grind.
Vomit grind also winning.

I used to be nauseatingly boring.
Looking forward to picking that up again one day.
When it came to being amateur, I was a total professional.

Early 2000s I was in a electronic duo where playing live basically involved pressing play. I dressed as Frankenstein's monster and my partner dressed as a skinny white Mr T. We played winner stays on connect 4 with the audience in the middle of the dance floor which was projected live on to the stage.

John from Crust used to play a whole show with a cow tounge in his diaper and pull it out at the end and flail it around in his mouth on his knees with his hair rotating in concentric circles... It was a sight to behold...
