I don't kno if anyone posted the video of Devi showing you where her cats pissed on the dwarfcraft contract but I've really had enough of that piece of shit. I tell you what. Since this whole thing is fueled by kickstarters, how about we end it with one. I have a hundred dollars here if dwarfcraft would like financial assistance in suing Devi off the face of the fucking earth. Not only that but if this really goes down I will officially donate the three MASF pedals to be auctioned off to support the cause as well.

I don't want to hate on DE too much, because it doesn't get anything done. Also she not cool/important enough for ILF to not be the loud happy fuzzy place it is. I kind of think the Devi threads should be moved/merged with the anger thread in General Discussion and leave only facts in general gear so new folk or those who don't know can make an informed decision about dealing with her.

That's a good idea. I literally joined ILF (and I'm not a pedal person so I'd never heard of Devi before joining) right as she came back so the 100+ pages about her coming back is just really confusing to me.
That was really clever I thought. I immediately envisioned a band with aesthetics like Sunn dressed in those masks playing with DE fuzz pedals and a wall of amps to a pile of plague victim corpses.

Now I'm all down for a witch hunt because everyone knows witches were what cause the Black Plague, but this feels wrong. Also the Law won't work on Devi. Even if it could, I don't think ILF would raise all that much for legal fees. Even if they did, its money that should be used in more positive ways, I think. Like helping offset ILF server costs or giving Dwarfcraft love. When the free market works, it is as good of a "hey! Fuck off!" as anything. It seems more appropriate to build the people we like up. Trying to raise funds feels like looking for a fight. Either way, I'm broke as shit. Literally. Like I got nothing. Maybe some corn but I don't think anyone would buy it.

Wouldn't it make sense for the ILF community and/or the backers of the failed Console kickstart to pool their resources and buy the Devi brand from Dwarfcraft? Then do something with it that possibly benefits everyone or even make those that were burned whole again in a tableaux of poetic justice? There's enough talent and knowledge here to pull it off. Lemons to lemonade. A community endeavor also minimizes the risk. Shit could blow up. I'm always down to throw in a few ducats.

I think, in the grand scheme, a community brand is redundant. There's so many ILF brands and then there's the brand, Fuzzhugger. There wouldn't be any real benefit to a(nother) ILF-forum brand.

a) I don't think a community-owned brand would even work
b) How does it give any resolution? So the people who are owed money buy the company. So they're still owed money but they also paid money to buy the company and not be owned anymore because there's not really anyone to pay up?
Crowdfunding a lawsuit is a much more interesting solution, however, it's been mentioned a couple of times that suing her would not really help anyone get any money
