I realize i'm like a side dude here that's not really in the circle for real. But i'm liking what everyone is saying about jam band controversy.
It's definitely polarizing, that kind of music. I personally don't enjoy most of the jam bands. I live up here in Northern California.
Basically hippie central and my job is at a tie dye stand. The dead did their most recent "farewell" tour this week, and oh how the hippies did rejoice.

Derek Trucks is cool. Friend told me at a show a while back, he happened to know the dude was on shrooms.
He gets done ripping the set, takes off his shoes and shirt, runs into the forest. To me that's rad. I dunno.

I still haven't constructively added to this conversation i just realized. Worst music this year? Lots of valid answers probably. Good question though.

I also saw Against me at a fest. I was waiting for someone else to play, and kept thinking that tht band name sounded familiar, but no idea who it was. Then that damn teenage anarchist song came on and it just reminded me of a painfully awkward and boring night down in Sante Fe. The rest of the trip went well, but I can remember that song coming on the radio and the rest of the night sucking so much ass.
