They weren't great live when I saw them. And don't people still hate each other? I dunno, they were great but I don't think it's anything I'd care about. Can't blame them if they want to get paid a little for everyone suddenly caring about them again though.

Is it a sudden thing? They were huge in the early 2000s, circa 2003-2005, everybody was into them back then

Here in australia yeah. There was the initial wave sort of up through the controversy of them selling out, then the next generation of pop punk kids getting into dear you. In the last five years there's a whole few generations of kids that have got into them and hyped them up all over again.

Cool, makes me happy :)

Dear You was seen as a sellout record by the punks, but it was their best album, for the emo kids (like moi). Just this monolithic album, right up there with Jimmy Eat World - Clarity

Anyway, re: the reunion, I can't imagine the feels I'd get seeing "Boat Dreams From The Hill" performed live :yay: :yay: :yay:

You and I have different definitions of 'emo kids'.

Dear You is the only one of theirs I like, feel like they were a better 'alternative' band than they were at mixing pop punk and Steel Pole Bathtub. But it was a huge thing that they went to a major after telling everyone they wouldn't. Prompting songs like this:

Haha, for some weird reason in my brain, everytime I hear the name Jawbreaker, I think of The Joykiller (probably because I had to listen to Jack Grisham talk about how cool he was as my friends and I talked to him before the TSOL reunion tour in like 1999 or 2000 or something). Anyway:

I saw Blake play solo after his touring band ditched him mid tour a year or two ago. God was that one of the saddest sets of my life.

Im not sure if he was worse at singing or playing, or ranting about how iTunes is evil and Neil Young's weird mp3 player is the absolute future.

A Jawbreaker reunion would be atrocious.

Jawbreaker and Jawbox are both good but Jawbreaker is better by a long shot. Both really good though.

Jets to Brazil aren't as good as either but definitely pretty awesome nonetheless.

Read Jawbreaker as Jawbox.

Got excited, now not.

Reading comprehension.
