Has anyone built the Hilibish GT120 clone kit from: http://hilbishdesign.bigcartel.com/? I've built an amp before, though this would be a few orders of magnitude more complex. Tempting though, and would be a good experience building.
Definitely pricey, but chassis is pretty beautiful. I'm really fiending for a vintage OR120 or GT120, but they don't seem to pop up for much under 3k... Do they?
Also--how are the new Orange OR50 and OR100s? Anything like the old soundz?

I have not but I've heard good things, the guitarist from Windhand is using one right now (Hillbish is actually semi-local to them so it makes sense). But I do want to build one of these in the future when I have the cash.
They do pop up for anywhere from 2-3k$ if you keep your eyes open, an excellent condition true vintage one will run you probably $3500 though.
They are nothing at all alike, don't bother.

I really want one of these clones. When I had the money, the kits ran out. Now that there's kits again, I'm pretty much tapped out. Not sure if I'd want to build it myself or find a tech that wouldn't charge too much. For some reason the PCB construction sounds easier to assemble than a point to point/turret board build like most kits though. That is, if it's a good PCB, which it sounds like it is.

i got two chassis and both were fucked in shipping, the shipping box was fine though. one cracked weld and the other was scuffed up and bent. wish i would have sent them back. was offered a set of knobs and never got them or the schematics. i don't think they're as nice Oranges/Matamp.

lol what.
This \/ is exactly what I was gonna link, seen two others around the same price or a little cheaper pop up in reverb in the past couple months as well.
Yeah I mean 2500 for one in good condition makes sense. I was more referring to the idea that a 'players amp' would be worth 2K but I guess if that's the market now so it be.

Oh jesus christ. That's heinous. Wtf?
they were still usable so I asked for some knobs, that was like six months ago.
This OR120 is up for $1800 CDN in Montreal ($1400 USD)
I talked to the seller and it needs new tubes
I talked her down to $1650 (!) but alas, it was for shits and giggles, I am broke
