Anyway it sounds fucking awesome. It's my Thurston Moore pedal. Or my shoegaze machine. I can't recommend the Rat>Muff combo enough.
Have to agree. Rat into Muff = awesome. Then again, Rat into anything is pretty much awesome :thumb:

Also, @ verveman: DAMN nice dirt selection. I kinda fell out of love with stock muffs, but I've been dying to finally try an opamp muff of some sort. I'm not too familiar with the T-Rex Mudhoney, but the FZ-2 has been my go-to apocalyptic hot rodded superfuzz since I first started playing guitar. And I also have a Hotcake on my board for all kinds of more conservative boosting and low/mid gain stuff, and it stacks great with fuzz, as I'm sure you know :)
You should try opamp muff. It's my personal favorite, equally as triangle muff. Crowther Hotcake is best overdrive pedal in the world! nah just my favorite :P
Not that it's an option right now, cause I have a Musket incoming to cover my muff needs...
But I looked around before, and I couldn't find a whole lot of newer opamp muff clones that weren't from dsmall time diy'ers. Nothing wrong with small time diy'ers, don't get me wrong...But the resale value of 'john doe' effects isn't quite like that of brands like eqd, fairfield, blackout effectors, BAT, etc etc...:idk:
Musket is fantastic. I used to have one. Really good sounding and flexible muff. Sold it because of financial issue at that time..
Here is great opamp muff clone I love. Blackemore Effects Dreamsicle fuzz. I heard he used to work with Dr.Scientist(or family, I can't remember).
This pedal is the one opamp muff clone I loved. You should check it out.

If you get that to work out, I might be interested as well. I don't have Any parallel dirt, which needs to be fixed.

With just a set 50/50 mix or would you want a full wet/wet blend control?

For me, the ideal is an output jack for each, for ease of feeding a stereo signal chain while each side has a different nuance. I don't know what Inconuucl's thought was on it. But bottom line is parallel dirt is parallel dirt. Yes I know about the empress multidrive, but that's arguably not a Rat and a Muff, two of the baddest circuits of rawk.

EDIT: I feel I should mention I'm just in talk mode right now as I'm tryna stack up some dollaz to repair my safety net.

I have a custom shop version of the Dreamsicle. I haven't tried other op-amp muffs, but I've been blown away by the heaviez this thing brings.

Just in case there's any builders lurking, here's the specs for my dream rat/muff combo, in case you missed my last thread on the subject:

Controls: Gain, Level, Tone :)
More tone controls would be nice, but I'd like a compact enclosure.
The Rat circuit should be just an integrated Ruetz'd Rat, with full gain, all the time. So the gain control would just affect the amount of big muff gain. Which I'm not picky about, but make it an opamp muff just for the hell of it :)
